Carter has turned into Daddy's little man and whatever Kurt does - Carter does. He recently decided he needed to shave just like Dad, only instead of a razor, he used a Q-tip!! He's so funny and the pictures are too cute!!
The kids got to go out on one of Bella's snow days and go sledding. They had so much fun. Carter is finally getting old enough to do some of it by himself. He still needed help getting the sled to the top, but he was good to go from there. He just laid down and went wherever the sled took him. Bella went so far that she ramped our neighbor's wall and ended up in the road. It was hilarious!!
Well it has been crazy busy around here since Christmas and I have not posted anything new in a while. First off, Kurt is still doing really well. Taste is starting to come back and he is once again enjoying food. He is still skinny but much healthier. He's been to all his Dr.'s several times and they all say he looks great so far! Excellent news! Bella is still in ballet/jazz at Miss Jennifer's. She is dancing to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cindi Lauper for her recital in June. I cannot wait to see the costumes. Carter had a good time at soccer but we decided not to sign him up for the second season and give him a bit of a break. He is excited to know that t-ball registration is coming up. He really wants to do that!! Here are some pictures of Christmas. Of course they were spoiled rotten by everyone but had so much fun!! After Christmas, our friend Dana had all the girls (and the two boys) up to her church to make gingerbread houses and play games. It was nice for the kids to see each other over break and for the adults to get together too!
Isabella started piano lessons last month. She had been interested in playing piano or violin since last years Lincoln Talent Show. She saw a lot of kids playing instruments and really thought she would like it. So I started hunting for a piano. I was all over craigslist and had asked people to keep an eye out for anything that might come up. We were lucky enough to have Kurt's Aunt Carol give us her piano. She doesn't play anymore and thought Bella would be able to use it for piano practice. She loves it!! She knows Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Mary had a Little Lamb, and two songs that she can read and play out of her music book. It's very different having a piano in the house, and sometimes very loud! 
Carter had his first soccer practice at Kids America on Thursday! He has a game on Saturday, so should be interesting. They all looked so cute running around out there on the field. He loved it and said "I want to do that again!"
As always, my mom and I took the kids to Darr's Farm this year. The kids were Jessie and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. We always go in costume to get pictures, pick out pumpkins, and this year we even did the corn maze. Bella led the way. (I'm surprised we are not still in there!) The kids got to paint their pumpkins to keep inside. Last night was trick or treat. The kids had a good time and we met up with my mother's group and the girls from Bella's class. There were not a lot of places handing out candy, but the kids were just happy to be out in their costumes!!
By the way, in one of the last photos, Carter is next to a little girl in a pink dress. Her name is Avril and she has planned their wedding. LOL Too cute!! They play together every week at the mother's meetings. Very sweet. Also in the last photos, Bella is Alice from Alice in Wonderland, because it is United Way week at Lincoln and they get to dress up as their favorite storybook character.
Bella and Carter had a great time at the fair. Bella splits her time between kiddie rides and big kid rides. Bella likes the rides and playing games. She went through the barns but was not as enthused as Carter. He was in love with the animal barns this year. He liked seeing the cows, rabbits, and chickens the best. He does not like the pigs!! We won a fish, of course. Carter tried for a rabbit and I'm thankful he didn't win. lol The fish's name is Lily. We decided she was a girl because she looks like she is wearing lipstick.
